I've found Expression Web crashes when I try to import a file from outside the web.

The solution is to make the File List pane visible.   The error occurs if the file pane is set to auto-hide or is closed altogether.

Set the language for the page in the Page Properties dialog.

Right-click on the page in the design view, then select Page Properties.  Click on the Language tab in that dialog and set the language to English (UK).
